Just wanted to say this so nobody else runs into the same issue.
We migrated liquidity to V4, and earlier tonight someone went to sell about $2,500 worth of tokens but accidentally sold into the old V2 pool instead of the active V4 pool. There were no slippage limits set, and since that V2 pool basically has no real liquidity anymore, the price impact was brutal. The $2,500 turned into $12 instantly.
Within seconds a bot grabbed those tokens in the old pool for $12 and flipped them into the correct V4 pool. That’s how quick these bots are. They just sit there waiting for someone to hit the wrong pool.
Just a reminder, anyone can create a liquidity pool. There are multiple pools tied to our pair, but only one has the project’s liquidity. That’s the one you want to use.
Before you buy or sell, double check you’re in the V4 pool, look at the liquidity, and set your slippage. Taking a few extra seconds can save you a lot of money.
